Proposals of meetings with FM viewed without discrimination: Armenia’s MFA open for cooperation
For decades a culture of closed meetings over different foreign political topics exists in the Armenia’s Foreign Affairs Ministry with members of parliamentary platforms, representatives of Armenian and foreign expert circles, mass media editors and journalists, MFA spokesperson Anna Naghdalyan told Aysor.am referring to the closed meeting organized by Union of Aware Citizens.
Naghdalyan said during the meeting the foreign minister responds to different questions relating to the country’s foreign policy.
“The proposals of such meetings are viewed without any discrimination and the MFA is open for cooperation with interested circles. This is why the responses this meeting raised among certain circles are very strange, especially in case when the representatives of the mentioned circles prefer to conduct close and open format discussions over foreign policy without participation of the Foreign Ministry,” she said, adding that the ministry receives numerous applications to conduct such format meetings and in case of possibility ensures appropriate participation.
