Members of Luys faction surprised at Bright Armenia party’s decision to recall Davit Khazhakyan, but will not interfere

Members of Luys faction Ani Khachatryan and Tehmina Vardanyan from Republic party have nothing to say over the situation with Davit Khazhakyan.

Speaking to reporters today they said the party is to decide whether to leave its member of faction in the municipality or recall him/her.

“It is not for us to comment on it. Each party decides on its own. It is the position of the party,” Khachatryan said.

Tehmina Vardanyan noted that the statement of the Bright Armenia was surprise for them.

“We have learnt about it from the press. We will not allow us interfere into the inner party discussions,” she said, adding that they did not have any discussions with Bright Armenia and do not find it expedient to have in general.

“We are Luys faction – I, Tehmina Vardanyan and Davit Khazhakyan, we may have discussions inside faction,” she said.

“If Edmon Marukyan sees any issues with Davit Khazhakyan, it is the issue of Marukyan and Khazhakyan,” she said.

Tehmina Vardanyan said that they would not like to work without Davit Khazhakyan. Ani Khachatryan said though it will not shutter their opposition stance.
