Bright Armenia faction hails Davit Khazhakyan’s work but wants to recall him from Council of Elders

Bright Armenia party is reviewing the issue of its activity in the Yerevan Council of Elders, head of the party Edmon Marukyan said at the briefing today.

“Bright Armenia party has one member in the Luys faction. If the party’s administrative council decides that Davit Khazhakyan must leave the Council of Elders we will stop our representation there,” Marukyan said.

Marukyan stressed that yesterday at the session of the Council of Elders Davit Khazhakyan made revelations about official fraud while instead of covering it, mass media preferred to cover the ironic response to it.

The head of the party stressed that Kazhakyan’s work is getting lost with no response being received to it.

He also stressed that the mayor ridicules members of the Council of Elders.

Vice-chairperson of the party Mane Tandilyan said that Luys faction diverts from political line of the party.

“We must understand the expediency of continuing the membership as it appears that we must bear the responsibility for what we are not responsible for,” Tandilyan said.

She said the party hails the work carried out by Davit Khazhakyan.

“Luys faction demonstrates other qualitative features for what we cannot bear the responsibility,” she said.

Besides Davit Khazhakyan, Luys faction comprises of Ani Khachatryan and Tehmina Vardanyan who are not members of the Bright Armenia faction.
