Night in bordering Koti was calm, no shooting registered: community head

The fire opened by the Azerbaijani side at the midnight in the direction of Koti left no casualties, head of the community Felix Melikyan said, speaking to Aysor.am.

He said the rest night passed calm without any shooting.

“At this moment as well the situation is calm, all the infrastructures are operating,” Melikyan said.

Spokesperson of the Defense Ministry Artsrun Hovhannisyan reported earlier that the Azerbaijani armed forces continued shooting in the direction of communities of Armenia’s Tavush region at midnight.

“After the response fire of the Armenian Armed Forces they stopped their actions. Weapons of different calibers were used. No casualties reported,” Hovhannisyan wrote.

Azerbaijani armed forces opened fire also in the period from 10-10.30 p.m. on Tuesday in the direction of Ijevan-Noyemberyan highway and Koti village.
