Russia cooperates with Armenia and Azerbaijan in military-technical sector in different terms

Not only in Nagorno Karabakh conflict’s case but in general during each conflict the situation becomes not stable due to wrong balance - when one of the parties has possibility or illusion to win in the military conflict, head of the Russian Federation Council’s International Affairs Committee Konstantin Kosachev said, referring to the issue why Russia and Belarus are still selling weapon to Azerbaijan.

“We are cooperating with Armenia and Azerbaijan in military-technical sector in different terms. Armenia is CSTO member state. We do not have such relations with Azerbaijan. The refusal of Russia and Belarus to cooperate in military-technical sector will result in undesirable and dangerous consequences regarding the Karabakh conflict settlement. One of them will be the appearance of new weapon suppliers to Azerbaijan, secondly the violence of balance of the forces will take place which is the guarantor of not resuming the military activities,” he stressed.
