Luys faction member Tehmina Vardanyan almost convinced Davit Khazhakyan will not leave the faction

There is no need to urge Davit Khazhakyan to keep his mandate, member of Luys faction of the Yerevan Council of Elders Tehmina Vardanyan told Aysor.am, adding that she is almost convinced that Khazhakyan will not put down his mandate.

“I do not know the motive of Bright Armenia party, I did not even think for a moment that Mr Khazhakyan will put down his mandate. He is our colleague and we would like to keep on working with him,” Vardanyan said.

Asked what the residents of the capital and their team personally will lose in case Khazhakyan decides to put down the mandate, she said, “Definitely, we will lose strong member of the Council of Elders, strong member of the opposition. The mayor and his team sometimes get upset from tough criticism of the opposition but I would like to remind them once again that the opposition is not for patting mayor’s head. The opposition must raise issues and if the mayor wants to feel patted he has other members of the Council of Elders for it.”
