Roaming in the EAEU area to be annulled from spring 2020: Mikayel Melkumyan
In 2020 the roaming in the EAEU area will be annulled, chairman of the Regional and Eurasian Integration Affairs Standing Committee Mikayel Melkumyan stated today.
“According to the information I have, as of March-April, roaming in the EAEU territory will be annulled, with the mobile services being in the same domain,” Melkumyan said.
Referring to the creation of joint market of the EAEU states, Melkumyan said though it has been envisaged to create joint market after 2025 today there exists precedents to have joint markets in certain sectors.
“From January 2, 2015 we are member of the EAEU and the member states have reached arrangements to have joint market from January 1, 2025. I think ten years is enough time. Some market may be established sooner, for instance the energy market,” he said.
