Armenia’s FM meets Russian senator, briefs on Karabakh conflict settlement developments
Armenia’s foreign minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan met today with the head of the Russia Federal Council Committee on International Affairs Konstantin Kosachev and chairman of Armenia’s NA Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs Ruben Rubinyan.
Welcoming the guests Mnatsakanyan attached significance to the intensive dialogue between Armenia and Russia on different levels and the readiness of the role-makers to undertake practical steps for further expansion of the existing cooperation.
In this pre-context the full usage of the potential of inter-parliamentary platform was emphasized.
During the meeting the interlocutors also stressed the formed tradition of mutual trust and support between Armenia and Russia at international parliamentary platforms and reiterated readiness to continue the close cooperation.
With the request of the Russian official, Armenia’s minister briefed on the recent developments over Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement. The interlocutors stressed that the peaceful settlement of the conflict has no alternative and the resolution of the conflict must be acceptable for all the parties.
