Big market of agricultural products to be built in Ararat province

The passing year has been outlined for Ararat province with the big volume of construction works, governor Garik Sargsyan said at a press conference on Friday.

“We carried out 22 programs in 2019 aimed at solution of urgent issues. The overall cost of the implemented projects reached 412 million AMD,” Garik Sargsyan said.

He said irrigation and drinking water programs were carried out to solve the existing issues.

The governor said with the funding of the government Sis community’s road was restored (2,3 km) and 4 pre-school opened.

He stressed that good results have been registered in the sphere of agriculture. In particular, according to him, the volume of grape purchase increased twice.

Sargsyan said in 2020 as well number of programs will be carried out in the province.

He said a businessman is planning to invest 4,5 billion AMD to build a big market of agricultural products in the province.

Garik Sargsyan urged the businessmen to return to homeland and bring into life their business projects in Armenia.

“We are ready to support our compatriots in any issue, present their projects to the government, offer some privileges,” the governor said.
