Pashinyan’s rating declines as compared with 2018: Gallup International Association sums up poll results
About 9,1% of Armenia’s residents consider their expectations from the revolution justified, Aram Navasardyan, director of MPJ company, member of the Gallup International Association told the reporters today, presenting the results of conducted polls.
He said 67,21% note that their expectations were justified at some extent while other 8% say their expectations have not been justified at some extent. 13,8% say their expectations have not been justified at all.
“The respondents who said "at some extent were not justified" and those who said "were not justified at all" were asked the reasons they think so. Some 32,2% agreed it with the inexperience of the new authorities, 28,1% noted that they had bigger expectations, 27% mentioned existence of deeper issues coming from past, 17,8% noted the absense of political will of the new authorities,” Navasardyan said.
Some 37,4% assessed the working style of the prime minister as absolutely positive, 49,9% more positive, 10,2% assessed the work of the parliamentary opposition as absolutely positive, 27,4% more positive and 27,7 more negative, 20,6 fully negative.
“Over 50% are dissatisfied with the activity of the parliamentary opposition. It is rather big number,” Navasardyan said.
Some 36,8% assessed Pashinyan, as politician, absolutely positive, another 50,4% more positive.
“The majority considers him positive, but if to compare with the September 2018 a decline has been registered,” he said, adding that that time 61,2% considered him absolutely positive and 30,2% more positive.
Among the flaws in Pashinyan’s activity, the 42% of the respondents mentioned unsuccessful staff policy, 27,9 slow tempo of implementation of reforms, 27% mild attitude toward the representatives of former authorities, 18,8% failure to apply tough measures and 6,7% absence of political will.
