Ara Babloyan, Arsen Babayan’s indictment not confirmed

The Prosecutor General’s office has sent the criminal case against former chairman of parliament Ara Babloyan and former deputy head of the NA staff  Arsen Babayan back to the investigator.

Prosecutor General’s office representative told Aysor.am that the cases have been studied by the prosecutor and a decision was made not to confirm the indictment and send the case to the investigator for additional examination.

Referring to the prosecutor’s decision Ara Babloyan’s lawyer Ara Vardevanyan wrote on Facebook that the Prosecutor General’s office has partially upheld his complaint by sending the criminal case back.

“As to other issues raised in the complaint, it has been clearly noted that they will be referred to later,” the lawyer said, hailing and attaching significance to the decision of the Prosecutor’s office.
