Vice speaker of Armenia’s parliament claims former authorities planned to start a criminal proceeding against ex-chief of NSS Arthur Vanetsyan
Vice speaker of Armenia’s parliament Alen Simonyan in an interview to Civilnet said the former authorities were planning to start a criminal proceeding against former director of National Security Service Arthur Vanetsyan suspecting him in having ties with the revolutionary team.
“I know Mr Vanetsyan for very long time and starting from some period of revolutionary process he started being isolated by the former authorities. He was suspected in having connection with the revolutionary team and was isolated. I even know that criminal case was to be initiated against him,” Simonyan said.
The vice speaker rejected the information as if Pashinyan’s team learnt about the actions of former authorities thanks to his contacts with Arthur Vanetsyan.
“We had no need of getting information as our actions were open and public while the actions of the former authorities were predictable,” he said.
