Armenia’s PM says they wrap up the year with good mood and good figures
We are summing up the year with good mood, Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at the last cabinet sitting of the year.
“November was a record month for 2019 regarding the economic success. In particular the economic activeness index was 10,1%,” the prime minister said.
He stressed that 25,7% growth has been registered in export of products, the trade turnover grew by 11,9%, services sector registered 11,6% growth, the construction 4,7%, the industry registered 9,3% growth.
“These are quite impressive figures and we register that the ideology we have put in the basis of economic development really works,” he said.
Minister of economy Tigran Khachatryan said that during 11 months 27% of growth has been registered in the brandy export and 50% in wine export.
“I think we will sum up the year with at least 7,5% economic growth and the export will be 10%. These indexes are realistic. The figures of the 11 months show that we will be entering the year of 2020 with very good economic basis,” he said.
The prime minister also drew attention on the growth of the export of fruit wines, noting that they registered the biggest growth.
“I think a new brand, new drink is being formed in Armenia,” he said.
