Hrayr Tovmasyan’s interrogation set for today cannot take place: lawyer
The defense team of CC chairman Hrayr Tovmasyan has submitted a motion to the investigative body to postpone today’s interrogation, lawyer Amram Makinyan told Aysor.am, stressing that the appointed interrogation cannot take place.
“Chairman of the Constitutional court Hrayr Tovmasyan cannot be interrogated today at 10.30 as member of his defense team Mihran Poghosyan is on holiday and is not in the Republic and I have set judicial sessions. We have informed the investigative body about it and submitted a motion to appoint Hrayr Tovmasyan’s interrogation after New Year holidays,” the lawyer said.
It has been reported earlier that on Friday Tovmasyan has been charged with the decision of the attorney general Arthur Davtyan. On the same day he was interrogated by investigators at the CC and then summoned him to the Special Investigative Service on December 30.
The CC chairman does not admit the charges describing them as political pressure against highest judicial body.
