Armenia’s PM says 2020 to be better year for tourism
Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan speaking at the cabinet sitting today stated that the 2019 was a succeeded year. He stressed that short-term issues have found solutions and time has come to focus more on the solution of strategic issues.
“We have started the 2020 quite well and the innovated concept we have offered to the Armenian citizens has justified itself and during the holidays and now too we see tourists in Yerevan and Armenia in general. I want to stress that the New Year holiday events had quite significant role in it,” the head of the government said.
The prime minister said the active holiday period has been already left behind and it is time to get prepared for the 2021 New Year events.
He said this year Yarkhushta (Armenian folk and martial dance) festival will be conducted.
The head of the government also said that the practice of making purchase from one person must be brought to minimum.
Pashinyan also noted that the 2020 will be better year for tourism.
“In this regard we have a lot to do in the service sector, starting from taxi drivers and ending with the rest circles,” he said.
