Ex-lawmaker Manvel Grigoryan transported to resuscitation department in grave condition: lawyer

The health condition of former lawmaker Manvel Grigoryan worsened, his lawyer Levon Baghdasaryan said speaking to Aysor.am.

He said Grigoryan has been transported to resuscitation department.

“His condition is grave. The defense team has many times voiced the impossibility to ensure his treatment in Armenia, but all the calls were ignored. Moreover, we have many times applied for changing the preventive measure due to his health condition but it was again rejected without any grounds,” Baghdasaryan said.

He said the defense side will come up with a statement in two days and added that Grigoryan’s life is in danger.

Grigoryan is accused of illegal possession of weaponry, embezzlement of over 101 million property, tax evasion reaching 1 billion AMD, waste of over 1 billion AMD and organization of embezzlement of property equivalent to 37 million AMD.
