Process of revealing fakes accelerates recently: information security expert

A very clear idea has been formed in Armenia that fake is a bad thing, while it is not only wrong but even dangerous opinion containing a clear demand for all to be open in the Internet, information security specialist Samvel Martirosyan said at a press conference today.

He stressed that an activist having opposing looks very often may have what to say at the same time not wanting to reveal his personality and in such case condemning fake is not right.

“The other case is that we are trying to mix legal and moral assessments. In the recent case with fake Diana Harutyunyan the articles under which the person was charged fit to Stalin epoch – nation’s traitor, etc. In reality we must correct mistakes and not be engaged in witch hunt,” Martirosyan said.

At the same time the expert drew the attention on the circumstance that during the recent period the process of revealing fakes has accelerated.
