Law on sending CC judges to pension adopted with violations: National Anti-Corruption Council
On January 16 National Anti-Corruption Council applied to the Prosecutor General Arthur Davtyan offering to examine a number of circumstances related to the adoption of law on sending CC judges to early pension.
“Studying the process of adoption of the controversial bill and the further adoption of it as a law the Council has revealed a number of rough violations which make it obvious that the document is absolutely unlawful and a number of significant procedures set by Armenia’s legislation are violated and the voting has not ensured enough votes. There is no such law from legal viewpoint,” the statement said.
The Council stated that a group of people committed actions stemming from narrow personal and political interests which resulted in the unlawful adoption of the law.
The Council said in the statement that all the circumstances it has presented serve a basis to start criminal proceeding.
