Hrayr Tovmasyan’s defense team applies to investigative body to learn whether petition to carry out search of CC Chairman’s apartment was submitted or not

Daily Hraparak wrote that investigator of the Special Investigation Service Asatryan has submitted a petition to the court of first jurisdiction for carrying out search in the apartment, office and parental house of the Constitutional Court Chairman Hrayr Tovmasyan.

According to the paper, the judge denied the petition explaining it with the impossibility of finding any proofs in the mentioned places agreed with the essence and nature of charges against Tovmasyan.

Asked for a comment, Tovmasyan’s lawyer Mihran Poghosyan told Aysor.am that he got familiarized with the paper’s publication today.

“Before this we did not possess information about the petition of the investigator to carry out search at Hrayr Tovmasyan’s apartment. We have applied to the investigative body and prosecutor’s office. If the information is confirmed we will get familiarized with the necessary materials to discuss the grounds of the decision and on what basis it has been denied and decide whether to complain or not,” the lawyer said.
