I am shocked, in near future the details of the case will be clear: Alen Simonyan on Georgi Kutoyan’s death

In near future we will learn the details of what happened, Vice-Speaker of Armenia’s National Assembly Alen Simonyan told the reports, referring to the death of the former director of the National Security Service Georgi Kutoyan.

“I have learnt about it from the media, and I want to express my condolences to his relatives and family. I do not know what to say, I am sure that in near future we will learn what happened. I am shocked,” Simonyan said.

As to whether Kutoyan’s death is agreed with his previous post and possession of information, Simonyan said, “We are speaking about life of a person, irrespective of what position he had, I do not think that the period during which he assumed the post was hard or he had such a burden that could have driven him to commit suicide or result in his murder.”

Simonyan said it is necessary to wait and see what the preliminary investigation body will say.

It has been reported that ex-director of NSS Georgi Kutoyan was found dead in one of apartments in Yerevan with a gun wound.
