Armenia’s NA adopts bill on Banking Secrecy
Armenia’s parliament adopted at the second and final reading today the bill on Banking Secrecy.
The bill has been backed by 73 lawmakers, other 37 voted against it.
First deputy minister of justice Rafik Grigoryan stated earlier that the bill has been designed to make the fight against corruption crimes more effective. He claimed that international experience, and the Scandinavian in particular was considered while working out the bill.
The bill allows receiving banking information of a suspect and defendant.
