Armath labs to be created by tender system: Armenia’s PM refutes claims about impeding technological progress of the labs
Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan referred at the cabinet sitting today to Arnath labs project noting that the issue has become a matter of political speculations.
“Armath labs project has launched in Armenia from 2014 and from 2014-2017 has received 188 million AMD funding from the state budget, from 2018-2019 the labs received one billion 296 million funding, which means 188 million for three years and one billion for two, including from the additionally collected budget incomes,” the head of the government stated.
He stressed that before the revolution during the three years 220 engineering laboratories opened in Armenia while after the revolution 355 Armath laboratories opened.
“It means that during a year and half twice more labs opened, the funding grew ten times and today we are being accused of creating problems for Armath laboratories. The problem is that today we have 575 laboratories in the republic acquired by one organization. We are saying the following – let us take a break, analyze how this system works and avoid from purchase from one person and pass to tender system, form a technical assignment as a result of analyses and establish tender system for these labs,” the head of the government said, adding that those who will present best offer will win.
“I do not understand who are the people blaming us in impeding the technological progress of Armath labs. Let them publish these figures and then enter the field of cheap speculations,” the premier said.
