Armenia’s PM offers apply slaughterhouse system from July 1 after ensuring their necessary number and density
Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at the cabinet sitting today that his yesterday’s proposal regarding the slaughterhouses was positively accepted by concrete circles.
“So, first we register that by February 6 sitting we are viewing the projects on subsidized loans, we are viewing the funding of slaughterhouses in privileged conditions and the leasing projects which must include the mobile slaughterhouses as well. A desirable map of density of slaughterhouses is being formed and we ensure targeted funding for necessary equal distribution of the slaughterhouses,” he said.
The head of the government said that proposals are also being accepted on how to enrich the package to make it more effective.
“As a result we are reaching arrangement that till July 1 the supermarkets and public food places are operating in strictest conditions while in the other places the situation remains the same with condition that after July 1 the Republic of Armenia will pass to the system of slaughterhouses and there will not be any protest actions. If this condition is acceptable for the protesting compatriots or they agree with it, let us agree over it and refer at February 6 sitting and close this issue. If it is not acceptable for them, then we will have to say that the system enters into force from today. If it is unacceptable, let it be unacceptable from today,” Pashinyan said.
