Search at CC chairman’s house aimed at pressing Hrayr Tovmasyan’s family: Arsen Babayan

It is a regular operation aimed to exert pressure on Hrayr Tovmasyan’s family, human rights advocate, former deputy head of NA staff Arsen Babayan told the reporters today, referring to the search at CC chairman Hrayr Tovmasyan’s house.

“Imagine, they enter the apartment early in the morning where there are children and start search. The search is being carried out in the framework of criminal case, which according to the charge, took place rather long ago and you all know it. In such case, I believe, there is no sense of search,” Arsen Babayan said.

He said the search is connected with notary case as Hrayr Tovmasyan is engaged as defendant only in this criminal proceeding.

“The purpose of these actions is to show the people that something is being done. This is an issue of creating false agenda,” Babayan said.
