Not finding legal ways to get rid of CC chairman, authorities start applying psychological methods: PAP lawmaker
Pressures on the Constitutional Court Chairman Hrayr Tovmasyan continue, Prosperous Armenia faction deputy Gevorg Petrosyan told Aysor.am, referring to the search in the apartment of the CC chairman earlier today.
“In general I refrain from giving assessments to concrete legal procedures by law enforcement bodies because it is a legal issue. I am always waiting to see what pace these procedures gain and then voice political assessment. One thing though I must say – it is obvious that the authorities continue pressures on CC chairman which does not bring honor to the legal state, including the Republic of Armenia,” he said, adding that he does not know what consequences it may have.
The lawmaker said it is strange what the law enforcers were searching in the apartment of the CC chairman.
“Hrayr Tovmasyan is not the person known with his unlawful actions, criminal deeds, usage of weapon. It is very interesting what they were searching for,” he said, adding that it is more like an attempt to exert psychological pressure to reach their purpose.
“They saw that there is no any lawful way to get rid of Hrayr Tovmasyan and now started applying psychological methods,” Petrosyan said.
