Government closes shameful page of weapons of 80s: Nikol Pashinyan
The weaponry acquired by Armenia’s Defense Ministry is either of 2019 production or unused, Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said today at a press conference in Armenia’s Kapan town, presenting 100 facts about new Armenia.
“The Defense Ministry has been allocated 307 billion AMD from the 2020 state budget, which exceeds the 2018 figure by 28% or 66 billion AMD. Since May 2018 Armenia has purchased unprecedented number of ammunition – SU-30SM multifunctional fighter jets, TOR-M2KM and Osa-AK anti-missile defense complexes,” he said.
Pashinyan also stressed that the Armed Forces have been enriched with artillery, anti-aircraft, zenith stations, rifles, 310 units of automobile technique.
“Tests of different types of weaponry have been implemented. The Armenian government closed the shameful page of weapons of 80s,” the PM said.
