If I retreat from my commitments, no one will respect me: CC chairman

Chairman of the Constitutional Court Hrayr Tovmasyan, speaking at the Pressing TV program today, said he will not respect himself if he retreats from his commitments, asked whether he is not going to resign even in conditions of the accentuated pressure against him and his family members.

“What does not kill me, makes me stronger. Perhaps I would have thought over it two years ago but today I will not respect myself if I retreat from my commitments. You will not respect me, and in general no one will respect me, I will consider it humiliation of my dignity and disrespect toward my profession,” Tovmasyan said.

The CC chairman said his family members support him and approach the created situation with understanding.

“Glory to my spouse that she understands me and backs me,” he said, adding that his parents though are more emotional and worry about the created situation.
