No one in Armenia is politically persecuted: acting police chief on apprehension of five opposition figures
The Armenian police implemented its functions in the sidelines of its authorities, acting chief of Armenia’s police Arman Sargsyan told the reporters today, referring to apprehension of 5 opposition figures.
“The police has the authority to check each information it receives and apprehend people and release them,” Sargsyan said.
He stressed that no one in Armenia is being politically persecuted.
“There cannot be spoken about political persecution either against people you mentioned or anyone else,” Sargsyan said.
