Free visa regime for Chinese citizens to Armenia temporarily suspended: Tigran Avinyan
Armenia’s Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan made a post on Facebook, reporting that free visa regime for Chinese citizens to Armenia will be temporarily suspended from February 1.
“Dear compatriots, taking into consideration the epidemical situation agreed with coronavirus from February 1, 2020 till March 31 the free visa regime for citizens of People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Armenia will be temporarily suspended,” Avinyan wrote.
BBC reports that nearly 10,000 people have been infected with the new coronavirus, which emerged in China in December.
The number of deaths stands at 213 - all in China.
On Thursday, the World Health Organization declared a global health emergency over the outbreak. It said there had been 98 cases outside China, but no deaths.
