Former chairman of SRC has serious health problems: lawyers
The court hearing of the appeal of the defense team of former chairman of the State Revenue Committee Gagik Khachatryan on prolonging the latter's arrest will take place today.
The hearing will be held by the judge of the Criminal Court of Appeal Sergey Marabyan known for having the highest rating in Helpcourt platform.
The defense team says the court hearing will take place in parallel with their numerous calls about the worsening of Khachatryan’s health condition.
They say that Gagik Khachatryan is in custody for already 7 months and at least three times media reported about the medical assistance, urgent medical examination and hospitalization of Khachatryan.
The lawyers claim that Khachatryan is getting symptomatic treatment while he needs special care. They stress that the absence of the medical assistance may have irreversible consequences for him.
Before being arrested the former high-ranking official was in Germany getting post-surgical treatment and arrived in Yerevan after the call of investigator.
