Adekvad unity members bring oil containers to President’s residence, try to start negotiations with Armen Sarkissian

Adekvad unity is conducting peaceful action in front of President’s residence on Baghramyan 26, bringing oil containers to the president.

“This is the second stage of our initiative as quite active processes are ongoing in the sidelines of Artsakh conflict regulation. Realizing well that it will not do any good we are trying to neutralize the negative impact on the positions of the Armenian states factor by factor,” one of the founders of the unity Artur Danielyan told the reporters, adding that one of these factors is Armenia’s “de facto” president Armen Sarkissian, who he claimed has shares in Azerbaijani gas and oil infrastructures.

“In essence the personal, financial interests of this person collide with the national security interests of the Armenian states,” Danielyan said.

He said they do not want to provoke a conflict but are just trying to understand whether theoretically it is possible for them to provide financial compensation to the president for him to stop serving the security of the Azerbaijani gas and oil infrastructures.

Asked what compensation they offer, Danielyan said, “It may be cash money, it may be oil product. This is a case when any negotiation is better than the ones conducted between these states.”

He said the action is symbolic and with it they are trying to start a negotiation process.

Danielyan stressed that at some moment they may reach consensus and agree over concrete quantity and sum.
