SRC chairman emphasizes importance of public discussion of tax secrecy availability issue

Chairman of State Revenue Committee Davit Ananyan speaking at the NA’s Finance-Crediting and Budget Affairs Standing Committee said a dialogue must be established with the public to understand whether they are for widening the circle of those who will possess tax secrecy information or not.

My Step faction deputy Yeghishe Soghomonyan tried to interrupt the official, saying that they are the public as people gave their votes to them.

Ananyan stressed that he too participated in the election but has other opinion over the tax secrecy availability issue.

“There is at least a need of public discussion. Tax secrecy is trade secrecy. We must ask the people whether they agree to widen the circle of those who will have availability to the information. We should do that. Today we are the keepers of this secrecy,” the SRC chairman said.
