NA Council’s session did not take place, ruling party asks for delay
The session of the NA Council planned for today did not take place and has been postponed till tomorrow.
“The session was postponed and will take place tomorrow with the request of My Step faction. We all agreed, there was a consensus and the session has been delayed,” head of Bright Armenia faction Edmon MArukyan told the reporters.
He said that the author of the bill asked for the delay.
“The author of the bill asked to discuss it tomorrow, we did not object,” he said.
Marukyan said if tomorrow’s session adopts the agenda the extraordinary parliament session will take place on February 6 with the published agenda.
Speaking about the position of the Bright Armenia faction, Marukyan said that the faction keeps on seeing anti-constitutionality in the initiative.
At the extraordinary session My Step faction aims to include the package of bills on making amendments in the constitutional law on NA Regulation, in constitutional law on Referendum, in the constitutional law on Constitutional Court on the agenda of February 6 extraordinary session.
