Attempt to interfere into Artsakh political processes noticed from Shahumyan: political analyst
Armenia’s Prime Minister goes to Shahumyan region in Artsakh to visit his son, but contacts the people, says “the power belongs to people, everything is in your hands,” political analyst Hrant Melik-Shahnazaryan said at the “Artsakh on the Threshold of Big Changes” panel discussion.
“In essence, calls for changing the political situation in Artsakh even before the elections are voiced from Shahumyan,” he said.
The political analyst said among those interested in this process are former prime minister of Artsakh Arayik Harutyunyan, current foreign affairs minister Masis Mayilyan, former general Samvel Babayan.
“But there are also serious hearths of confrontation and concern and the number one is candidate Vitaly Balasanyan,” he said.
Melik-Shahnazaryan said that there are serious concerns over the negotiation process as well.
“We see the shows staged every day, we see that the public’s attention is being diverted from the Artsakh issue on ungrounded small processes,” the political analyst said.
