Bill on constitutional amendments so problematic that they fail to correct it: Edmon Marukyan

Head of Bright Armenia faction Edmon Marukyan said at the yesterday's meeting between the OSCE and EU ambassadors and chairman of the Armenian NA Ararat Mirzoyan the latter probably briefed what they want to do and tried to convince the ambassadors that everything is all right.

“But during such meetings the ambassadors usually keep silence and do not say whether they agree or not,” Marukyan told the reporters today, referring to the delay of the NA’s extraordinary session.

“Three times NA Council session was postponed during the two days. If a person knows what he wants, the lawyers write it and bring it. Now can you imagine how problematic this package is that no matter how much they correct it, still there is a need to correct it more?! No matter how much they correct it, it cannot be corrected as its essence is anti-constitutional,” Marukyan stressed.

The head of the Bright Armenia faction described it as problematic package with various issues.

“I have so many questions over it that it is impossible to give them in 3-5 hours. There are political questions as well,” the lawmaker said.
