I do not owe anything to Nikol Pashinyan: Artur Vanetsyan
It would not have been moral for me to stay in the comfort zone and continue holding my post and not raising about the dangers, former director of the NSS Artur Vanetsyan told the representatives of the printed mass media.
“There were disputes between me and Nikol Pashinyan which I have voiced in the text of my resignation. The disputes were mainly over the perceptions of a citizen, state and if you want to know the disputes were in general over perception of life and the attitude,” he said.
Vanetsyan stressed that he did not owe Pashinyan either before the resignation and especially after it.
“I have done my work. I have done everything for the promises given during the revolution be implemented,” he said.
The former NSS director said he does not regret that he resigned.
“I only regret for not being able to justify the hopes of thousands people, their expectations, on the contrary, we experienced big disappointments,” Vanetsyan said.
He also stressed that only those who betrayed the ideas of the revolution must be afraid of being labeled as traitors.
“Let those be afraid of the traitor label who put personal interest above the public one, let those be afraid who will wake up in short period and say “we did not understand what we were doing.” I will not give names today, but I am speaking of the circle who is currently inside the authorities,” Vanetsyan said.
