Robert Kocharyan’s preventive measure should be reviewed: Artur Vanetsyan
Former director of the National Security Service Artur Vanetsyan spoke at the meeting with the representatives of the printed mass media about Armenia’s second president Robert Kocharyan’s case.
“I would not call it Robert Kocharyan’s case. We are speaking about the revelation of the March 1 case. While saying March 1 case, we ans i in particular understand that the priority should have been given to the revelation of 10 murders,” Vanetsyan said.
He stressed that the processes taking place today do not promote the revelation of the murders.
“As to Kocharyan, I know many different comments will follow what I will tell now, but I want to say that the preventive measure against Kocharyan – the arrest – has been chosen wrong as with neither of his step he showed that he avoids examination. I think his preventive measure should have been reviewed which would have promoted the release of tension and revelation of the case, as we all want March 1 case be revealed,” the former director of the NSS said.
