Former director of NSS founds “Homeland” Development Fund
Former director of the NSS Artur Vanetsyan stated at the meeting with representatives of the printed media about founding “Homeland” Development Fund.
“I have registered the Fund about a month ago, as I greatly highlight the role of the civil society in our country. In general, all the states that have adopted the principle of democracy must have very developed and strong civil society,” Vanetsyan said.
“This field has been occupied by the NGOs funded from outside, today, after the revolution, the NGO field has remained almost empty as many representatives of this field are engaged in the ruling force. Besides, I will not be afraid to say that there is a certain monopoly in the NGO field and not having anything against it, I have decided to create “Homeland” Fund and support our active compatriots,” the former director of the NSS noted.
He stressed that the NGOs, media and individuals funded by them will not bring forth a foreign agenda but will be guided by national one.
Vanetsyan stressed that he had met with the Diaspora compatriots but refused to unveil their names so far.
“I have told them about the goals of the Fund and was assured of getting financial assistance,” he said.
Vanetsyan stressed that they will not deal with charity but with the solution of concrete issues.
