Armenia’s president does not sign two bills into laws, applies to CC
Armenia’s President Armen Sarkissian did not sign bills on making amendments into law on RA Criminal Judicial Legislation and law on Banking Secrecy adopted by the National Assembly on January 22, 2020.
Armenia’s presidential press service reports that these laws are apparent problematic from the constitutional viewpoint.
“The president of the republic did not sign the bills into law and applied to the Constitutional Court with corresponding legal groundings with the request to decide the issue of constitutionality,” the presidential press service reported.
One of the bills envisages criminal punishment for having relation to criminal sub-culture and the other envisages opportunity of getting secret banking data.
