Artur Vanetsyan submitted few resignation applications during his term in office
Former director of the National Security Service Artur Vanetsyan has several times submitted resignation application to Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
“No one has dismissed me, I submitted resignation application on my own,” Vanetsyan said at the meeting with representatives of printed mass media.
He said that other applications were also submitted.
“We also had discussions. The first resignation application was immediately after the leakage of the wiretapped conversation, and then others followed as well,” Vanetsyan said.
The former director of the NSS also stated that when it was stressed that the Prime Minister sacked Vanetsyan because of being dissatisfied with the work of the NSS, Vanetsyan said, “I want you to remember just one thing, on December 20, on the Day of NSS Official, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan delivered an extended speech at the NSS and gave highest assessment to its work.”
