Contacts of Azerbaijani community with diplomats accredited in their country not a factor: Armenia’s MFA
The activity of the government-organized non-governmental organization (GONGO), no matter with what name they come forth, is no factor in the peace process and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia is not commenting on their contacts with the members of the diplomatic corpus accredited in their country, spokesperson of Armenia’s MFA Anna Naghdalyan said, asked about the meeting.
“I repeat, Armenia’s position over conflicting sides is clear. Since 1992 the authorities of Artsakh participated in the peace process with the status of NK elected representatives. Nagorno-Karabakh authorities together with the RA and Azerbaijan signed the Bishkek protocol calling for ceasefire. In the same 1994 the OSCE Budapest Summit’s final document registered the trilateral negotiation format which stems from the 1994’s trilateral – NK, Azerbaijan and Armenia – ceasefire agreement,” Naghdalyan said.
