Director of Al. Spendiaryan Opera and Ballet Academic Theatre Konstantin Orbelyan restored to the post
Director of Al. Spendiaryan Opera and Ballet Academic Theatre Konstantin Orbelyan has been restored in the post from February 10, 2020.
Speaking at a news conference today he said he won the lawsuit and will hold not only the position of the art director but also the director of the theatre.
“After I won the lawsuit, the ministry applied to the Court of Appeal, but the latter rejected the appeal. Now I have been restored in the post of the director and will continue working until the contract expires (August 3),” he said.
On March 28, 2019 Konstantin Orbelyan was dismissed from the post of the director of the theatre with the decree of that time acting minister of culture Nazeni Gharibyan who was stating that Orbelyan was appointed to the post with the breach of at least two provisions of the law.
Orbelyan in his turn promised big and noisy trial to the ministry.
