No growth in number of victims registered in the army: My Step deputy

No growth in number of victims in the army has been registered, My Step faction deputy, member of Defense and Security Standing Committee Armen Khachatryan told the reporters today.

“No growth has been registered. As far as I know the number preserves during all the years but even one victim is inadmissible and all the necessary measures must be undertaken to exclude even one victim,” he said.

Khachatryan stressed that the existence of elements of criminal sub-culture affects the army

The deputy also noted that corresponding NA committee will discuss the issue. He added that committee is always discussing the situation in the army.

“The situation in the army is always a subject for discussion in the committee. Rather serious, deep studies will be undertaken and the committee will express its position,” he said.

Chairman of the Investigative Journalists NGO, editor-in-chief of Hetq.am Edik Baghdasaryan wrote on Facebook that since the beginning of the year 12 soldiers have already died in unknown circumstances.
