PAP to stay committed to its position and principles: Mikayel Melkumyan on constitutional referendum
Prosperous Armenia party will make a statement today about its position over constitutional referendum, Prosperous Armenia faction deputy Iveta Tonoyan told the reporters today.
“It is necessary to get armed with patience and wait for the decision of the political council of the party. We will have a discussion with the participation of all the members of the political council, all the opinions will be heard ,” she said, adding that they will express their position in a statement.
Tonoyan said the session of the political council is scheduled for 4 pm today.
Another deputy of the faction Mikayel Melkumyan said they will stay committed to their political position.
“We will not make a decision from the air, we will stay committed to our political position and the principles we have stated before. We have stressed about being for the idea of the referendum but there is a legal way of doing it and we should have passed it in a literate way,” Melkumyan said.
