Authorities need referendum to cover up their crime with the decision of the people: ARF-D representative

State crime is being committed, crime against justice, constitutional order, ARF-D representative Artsvik Minasyan said today at the Constitutional Security: Challenges and Solutions discussion.

“It is obvious why the political authorities, having majority in the parliament and having the opportunity to approve law or bill on constitutional amendments themselves, leave it for the people to decide. I think our people must get the answer to be able to orient in a right way,” Minasyan said.

He said the reason of it is that the political authorities understand very well that they are committing a crime.

“For the law not to be applied against those responsible for this crime they started speculating the name of the people and brought the referendum on the agenda. In reality, the political authorities do not need referendum, they need it just to cover up the crime by the decision of the people,” Minasyan said.
