Social moods reflected on the army: political technologist agrees with Artur Vanetsyan's assessment

It is clear that the developments in the army is the result of the situation created in the country and it is an axiom that the army is the mirror of the society, political technologist Vigen Hakobyan told Aysor.am.

“It gives no food for additional doubts. The developments in the social-political life transfers to the army because the moods existing in home, transfer to those serving in the army,” Vigen Hakobyan said.

He said that when big separating lines are being created in the country, the people are divided into former and current, blacks and whites, naturally those going to the army take these moods with them.

Former director of the NSS Artur Vanetsyan told Aravot daily that the developments in the army are the results of the atmosphere created in the country.

Vigen Hakobyan agreed with the claim, adding that the army is a part of the society where people are in restricted territory, consequently the atmosphere is more tensed.

“I fully agree with the voiced assessment, that the atmosphere existing in our social-political life is more tensed in the army. Few days ago the prime minister was explaining the situation with criminal sub-culture. Of course, it may be the reflection too. But now rather sad and very dangerous statistics shows that another more serious factor has been added - the separating lines are formed with political goals,” he said.

Hakobyan said complex solution is necessary.

“The issue must be settled not only in surgical methods. Now when any issue raises it is claimed that there is a serious political pre-context,” he said, stressing the necessity of changing atmosphere in the country
