Armenia hopes for increase of EU assistance in 2020: Armenia’s deputy PM
The increase of the assistance provided by the EU to Armenia in bilateral cooperation format testifies about the positive developments in Armenia-EU relations, deputy prime minister Mher Grigoryan said at the NA hearing on Armenia-EU Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement.
He said with the 2019 action plan the volume of assistance has considerably increased as compared with the past years making 65 million euros.
Grigoryan voiced hope that this year the volume of the assistance will grow too.
“The directions of assistance for 2020 have already been outlined and clarified, I hope the provided assistance will be more than it was in 2019,” Grigoryan noted.
He said the 2020 program assistance will be addressed to the reforms in justice and police sectors declared as priorities by the government.
“The agreement for us is a reform agenda and its implementation is one of the priorities for the Armenian government,” the deputy PM said.
