Number of employees of Republican Center of Prevention of AIDS having submitted resignation applications reaches 75

The employees of Republican Center of Prevention of AIDS are submitting resignation applications, leaving the whole responsibility on the Health Ministry, head of Epidemiology Control department of the center Arshak Papoyan told the reporters today.

“As of the moment 75 employees signed under the statement. The staff comprised of 107 people, I was reported that as of now 75 have signed under the statement. They do not agree to bear the risks in case of uniting with Nork infection hospital,” he said, adding that they have been voicing about it for over a year but no one listens to them.

Healthcare organizer of the center Gevorg Grigoryan said their colleagues from the center offer professional discussion.

“They offer to discuss the decisions of the ministry with them. They do not offer any unlawful thing. They are convinced that their professional experience allows them to bring clear arguments that the policy adopted by the minister is not realistic and contains risks,” he said, adding that the ministry does not agree for the discussion.

“Discussions are being held with narrow groups ignoring the specialists,” he said, adding that the ministry has adopted strictly closed working style and makes single decisions.
