Armenia does not discuss the issue on closing border with Georgia: SCS
A task group is being set headed by deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan that will keep contact with responsible health institutions of the neighbor country, Security Council Secretary Armen Gevorgyan told the reporters today, referring to the dangers of spread of coronavirus.
“All the departments keep contact in online regime inside Armenia and outside of it, in case of danger corresponding decision will be made,” Grigoryan said.
Asked whether it is possible to partially close the border with Georgia, considering the circumstance that case of coronavirus has already been registered there, the SCS said, “Such issue is not being discussed yet. Corresponding bodies are in permanent contact, all the issues are being discussed, all the options are on the table. The solutions will be in accordance with the situation.”
