NSS acting director promises noisy arrests

Staff changes were and will be in the National Security Service but no staff cleansing took place as the NSS is not the service where massive job cuts may take place, acting director of the NSS Eduard Martirosyan told the reporters today, adding that professionals are working there.

Asked about the developments over Diana Harutyunyan fake page, the acting director said a criminal case has been filed and urged not to focus on Diana Harutyunyan only.

Martirosyan said three criminal cases have been filed over other fake pages, the preliminary investigation is underway.

“Those fake pages who will threat the national security will be revealed by the NSS and subjected to responsibility,” he said.

Asked whether new arrests of officials are expected or not, the acting director gave positive response.

“There were and will be arrests. It is an ongoing process which always takes place. Noisy arrests are expected,” he said.
